Chris’ Story
The difference between a problem and a challenge?
Problems are defeatist in nature, whereas a challenge is an opportunity waiting for a solution. We can overcome challenges. Will it be difficult? Maybe.
“But I do like a good challenge.”
Chris Winrow
Senior Financial Advisor – CI Assante Wealth Management Ltd.
My wife Kim and I moved to North Bay in 1999. After 7 years of practicing corporate law, I joined Thomson Financial Partners in 2007 when my father-in-law, friend and mentor, Ted, offered me the opportunity to become a financial advisor and partner at Thomson Financial Partners.
Talk about a challenge. Leave the security of my profession for a new field with a wife, five kids, a mortgage, car payments, and all the other stuff life throws at us. Would it be difficult? Maybe. But I do like a good challenge.
Ted taught me, “People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care”.
Kim and I are proud parents of five beautiful kids (I do like a good challenge) and we taught them early: “family first, work/school second and everything else after that”. We also taught them the value and joy of giving back to the community and to use their time, talents and gifts to benefit others.
All these years later it continues to be a joy for me to combine my legal training and financial advisor expertise in ways that allow me to take client challenges and find solutions specifically tailored to their needs. I work hard to truly know my clients and I care deeply about helping them find the solutions they need. Experience has taught me that the biggest challenges are best solved with time tested/proven solutions.
At Thomson Financial Partners I bring these values to every client engagement, every staff interaction, and everything I am involved with in the community.
Providing top level financial planning advice and service is my aim. Helping you overcome the financial challenges you face is my goal.
