Rob’s Story
When I think of my parents, I think of how hard they worked to ensure my brother, Cory, and I had a great childhood. We were involved in competitive sports spanning all four seasons but Ski Racing became a passion with countless competitions across the country and training out West on glaciers in the summer. I’m so grateful to my folks for introducing competitive Ski Racing to us. By the way, I’m the better skier.

As a father, with my own kids in competitive sport, I now understand the sacrifices my parents made so Cory and I could be fulfilled. They never flinched. They never complained. They did what they had to so we could experience something truly special.
The gift my parents gave us, and the lessons they taught us about love, sacrifice, teamwork and competition instilled important values for life.

Over lunch with Ted and Eric Thomson in June of 2000, I saw my future. I was mentored by the best. Ted built a business of guiding his clients to prosperity with honesty and integrity. He developed a multigenerational practice where clients, their children and grandchildren are still valued friends at Thomson Financial Partners. It is quite humbling to know I have the opportunity, every day, to help clients achieve their goals, simplify their lives and fulfill their dreams.
